The project consists of eight new 2-story multifamily buildings with an affordable housing development, sited in a similar fashion as the existing site plan, for a total of 74 apartments. The multifamily buildings will be constructed of wood-framed modular units constructed off-site and delivered for installation on-site. The site will be demolished and installed in phases to accommodate the existing families within the community during construction. A 2-story wood framed community building built on-site will center the development. The project is developed by Georgica Green Ventures in conjunction with the North Hempstead Housing Authority and New York State Homes and Community Renewal program.
